Ryan Gale joined the Earth Science Department at Montana State University in August 2021. Ryan has gained research experience during his study abroad in Iceland where he investigated avalanches and associated weather in the Westfjords. He also participated in the Northeast Partnership for Atmospheric Research (NEPARS) REU over summer of 2024, where he investigated the link between stationary fronts and extreme weather events in the U.S. Ryan enjoys playing Volleyball for the MSU men’s volleyball team and skiing.
Ryan is a senior in the Earth Sciences Department at MSU studying Snow Science and Statistics. He plans to graduate spring 2026 and pursue a Ph.D in cryosphere sciences.
